Taste of Green

It's baaaaaaack... We'd like to invite you to our revamped fundraiser Taste of Green: Celebrating Food Waste Champions. We've combined two beloved past events - Taste of Green and the St. Louis Food Waste Challenge. Come join the fun with curated small bites from Green Dining Alliance (GDA) restaurants, a drink with your ticket, photo booth, DJ, and silent auction, plus learn about the creative ways GDA restaurants are reducing their food waste this fall.

We are so excited to see what these local leaders in circularity accomplished in October, and we invite you to hear all about their achievements at this event on Thursday, November 20th from 6pm to 9pm!

You'll have the opportunity to taste their creative food waste strategies yourself, as the Food Waste Challenge restaurants will be serving unique hors d'oeuvre creations made from their own food scraps. Participating restaurants include Alpha Brewing Co., Crema Coffeehouse, Olive + Oak, Snarf's Sandwiches, and Sugarwitch, plus SLAM's Panorama and Baileys' Restaurants.

Silent auction items so far include an In-Home Wine Tasting for up to 12 people, artwork by local artist Lisa Young, two tickets to The Rep's Emma, a two night stay at an Elsah, IL cottage, two bottles and a private tour from Switchgrass Spirits, a Downtown Architectural Walking Tour, framed botanical prints by Robert John Thornton, and Litter Bug "Bob the Banker" made from repurposed materials by Bob Vavra.

Tickets are $75 and includes a free first drink. Members receive a $10 discount - check your email for that discount code! Help the GDA in their mission to support restaurants in achieving their sustainability goals and celebrate their successes.

We’ll be serving tons of small bites from GDA restaurants and STL brews so you can taste the deliciousness of local sourcing and responsible making ― first drink free for all guests!

Enjoy live tunes from DJ Agile One, support our mission by bidding on exciting items in our silent auction, and capture the memories at our photo booth!

The big night is November 20th, 6pm-9pm. Tickets are live, and you can grab yours now at bit.ly/TasteofGreen2025!

Food Outreach is the only organization in Missouri and Western Illinois providing vital nutritional support to community members living with food insecurity and a diagnosis of HIV or cancer—at no cost to them. In 2024, Food Outreach served over 600,000 meals to nearly 2,000 clients in 144 zip codes in the St. Louis region. 72% of our clients live on less than $15,650 annually.

Nutrition.” The event will feature tastings from top culinary and beverage partners from across the region, a live DJ, and many unique auction items! THE CRAFT (1996) — Fundraiser for Missouri Abortion Fund

Sarah has always been different. So as the newcomer at St. Benedict’s Academy, she immediately falls in with high school outsiders. But there’s something different about these new friends, and it’s not just that they won’t settle for being a group of powerless misfits. They have discovered THE CRAFT…and they are going to use it. This spectacular horror thriller-cum-high school melodrama has achieved cult-classic status not only for its goth-girl fashion and quintessential ’90s cool-kid cast (including Neve Campbell, Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Rachel True, and Skeet Ulrich) but because it so perfectly captures the transformative empowerment of female friendship and solidarity…with spells!

The Arkadin is hosting two screenings, one indoors at 7 pm and another outdoors on the backlot at 7:30 pm. Please use the proper button when buying tickets. https://arkadincinema.com/event/the-craft-1996-fundraiser-for-missouri-abortion-fund/

ALL TICKET PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT BENEFIT MISSOURI ABORTION FUND. Missouri Abortion Fund is a non-profit committed to funding Missourians who need assistance paying for their abortions. The only requirement to receive funding is being a Missourian. MoAF allocates funds directly to clinic partners. They then distribute those funds to help cover Missourians’ abortions.
